Something new from PAontheGo.com is our weekly blog. We want to start highlighting things to do in the area and this is a great way to do it!
This week we are featuring the PPL Riverlands Recreation Area on US Route 11 near Berwick. The 400-acre recreation area is located on the western side of the Susquehanna River and also has a nature preserve where visitors can learn all about the plant and animal life of the Susquehanna River Valley. Visitors are welcome daily and the park is open until dusk.
The PPL Riverlands trail will get you up close to many species of plants and animals. Their guided programs are educational and fun, allowing guests to see first hand what they are learning about. Visitors can also dig in with hands-on activities designed for guests of all ages.
This natural recreation area is a great way to spend an afternoon and get out as the weather warms up.
