As the weather warms up festivals start to pop up all over the place and Wilkes-Barre is no exception. Each year in May, on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre, the Fine Arts Fiesta brings together the art community for a fun filled weekend. This year the annual event will be held on May 15th through the 18th.
The festival is a great way to spend an afternoon, viewing the judged artwork, eating your way around Public Square, and browsing artist’s shops. Kids will have a great time too, making multi-colored sand bottles, having their faces painted and listening to the live performances on stage.
If you have a few hours we highly recommend a trip to the Fine Arts Fiesta, parking is available all over the downtown and whether you are an art lover or not, you will not be disappointed.
